It is a competitive exhibition for which a maximum of 100 black and white photos are accepted + one, which due to its aesthetic criteria stands out from others, and which is to be awarded the Fernando Soprano Grand Prix.

General terms:
The contest is open, and all photographers can take part in it, whether they are professionals, amateurs, or members of photo clubs.
Number of works: Each author can participate with a maximum of six (6) black and white photographs, individual or as a collection. A collection means a maximum of 3 coherent photos. Photos that have been exhibited at competitive exhibitions in Rijeka will not be accepted.
Photo size and format: JPG format, longer page at least 3000 px, and 300 dpi.
Labelling of photos: Below the photo, you only need to write the serial number of the photo and the name of the photo that you entered into the application form. The serial number and name of the photo with other information about the author should also be entered into the application form. It is important to state the author’s address, e-mail, mobile phone number and the post office number of the place of residence in order to be contacted.
Application form: The application form can be downloaded in a word document (https://www.fotoklubcolor-rijeka.hr) and filled out legibly, preferably on a computer. The data and photo number from the application form must be identical to the data entered into the selected photos.
REGISTRATION FEE: The registration fee amounts to 10 EUR and is payable in favour of the giro account of Photo Club Color IBAN: HR18 2360000-1101893177.
The authors who send photos from other countries, outside Croatia, pay the registration fee in the amount of 10 EUR via PayPal to the e-mail address: fotoklubcolor@gmail.com. In the payment description, please write down the author’s name to whom the payment refers.
Photos for which the registration fee has not been paid will not be accepted. The photos selected for the exhibition are prepared by the Photo Club Color.
Application: The authors can register, send photos and pay registration fee via online application (https://www.fotoklubcolor-rijeka.hr/prijavnica/) or they can submitted photos for selection, application forms and registration fee payment confirmations via e-mail fotoklubcolor@gmail.com. The deadline for the submission of works is Friday, 21st November 2025.
The exhibition will be displayed in the premises of Galerija Pasaž from 12th to 25th December 2025.
Prizes and awards:
The best photograph of the exhibition will be awarded the Grand Prix of the Fernando Soprano Black & White Photography Salon!∗

Up to 20 commendations will be awarded to the authors.
∗Thanks to the courtesy of the Soprano family, this prize has been awarded since 2017 for the best photograph and exceptionally successful author’s work received. Fernando Soprano (1922-1977) is one of the classics of national photography and belongs to the generation who affirmed himself in the fifties and sixties of the last century.
To authors under the age of 18 can be given commendations for participating in the exhibition.
Catalogue: The organiser will create a catalogue with awarded works and a list of authors and photos selected for the exhibition, which will be delivered in PDF format to all authors who submitted photos to the contest.
Note: The authors are personally responsible for the photos taken. The author agrees that his works may be published free of charge in the catalogue, on the club’s website and in other media and publications. The organiser of the exhibition undertakes that the exhibitor’s works will not be used for commercial purposes. By signing the application form, the authors accept the conditions of this published competition.
The exhibition is held under the auspices of the Croatian Photographic Union.
